DashboardWIL$GUY Market Scanner v3
Finviz supplies the market data and discovery tools. WIL$GUY turns that evidence into one stateful workflow: discover a candidate, observe what changes, rehearse the frozen plan, record what you actually traded, and validate the result.
Start here
Do not begin by comparing every score. Begin with the verdict and the first unresolved gate, then move the same ticker forward only when its state changes.
Run one Dashboard mission or Market Apex. The result is a ranked research queue, not a buy list.
DashboardUse Fusion to watch price, plan, tape, and risk gates change without rewriting the setup.
Fusion BoardReplay the exact frozen decision after later candles exist. No hindsight and no synthetic outcome.
Replay LabA triggered signal is still not a position. Cockpit starts P&L only after you confirm a real broker fill.
Trade CockpitLet outcomes mature, then inspect calibration, setup quality, and failure patterns without inflating thin samples.
Alpha LabOperating rule: risk gate → structural quality → live readiness → earned odds. If a required gate is missing, “wait” is the product working correctly.
Intelligence architecture
Source truth becomes market state, anti-chase context, a conditional decision, an honest rehearsal, and finally an execution receipt. The numbers stay separate because they answer different questions.
Finviz market data, verified news, SEC filings, historical candles, and explicit coverage gaps.
Catalyst Tape · chart structure · intraday levelsWho controls the tape, how old the move is, and which ticker is actually winning its theme.
Order Flow · Regime Clock · Competitive ExclusionWhether the move is already in garbage time and whether your intended size can trade without eating the edge.
Garbage-Time Detector · Liquidity-Cost EngineEvidence-gated odds, trigger, invalidation, risk budget, and the simplest honest action.
WIL$GUY Score · calibration · trigger plansThe original thesis freezes before later candles reveal the answer, so process can be tested without hindsight.
Decision Twin · peer path cone · fork ledgerSignals remain separate from fills; actual entries, risk changes, exits, and repeat behavior become the receipt.
Position Truth · Flight Recorder · Execution FingerprintSignal Forge is a safe visual rule language over the connected Finviz and WIL$GUY evidence fabric. It never executes arbitrary code and never turns user-selected weights into fake probability. This experiment remains available for later testing, but it is not required to use the production decision loop.
Hard gates must pass. Weighted evidence ranks workflow agreement. Penalties reduce fit. Vetoes always win and cannot be averaged away.
Define Observe, Prepare, Act, and Exit in your own language. A scan-time trigger can promote a qualified setup, but never override a failed gate or veto.
Select up to twelve decision-changing fields from the connected vocabulary. Missing evidence, strongest confirmations, source coverage, and blockers remain visible.
Retained outcomes are direction-aware, cost-adjusted, point-in-time, and capped per ticker. Thin samples stay building; descriptive association is not causal proof.
Workflow Fit = passed configured evidence weight / available configured evidence weight - explicit penalties
Hard gate failure -> does not qualify
Hard veto -> blocked
Missing evidence -> lower coverage and a bounded score
Act -> threshold cleared AND required trigger fired AND no gate failure AND no veto
Outcome maturity -> empty / building / promising / neutral / challenged, always separate from Workflow Fit
Strategy MRI -> funnel selectivity + rule missingness + rank resolution + nearest one-gate misses
Workflow Fit is not WIL$GUY Score, Historical Odds, Expected R, or financial advice.A full-market run uses two passes: cheap fields search the complete connected stock universe, then only the strongest preliminary matches receive expensive event, intraday, risk, pattern, and outcome intelligence. Strategy MRI then exposes where the funnel collapsed, which rules barely filtered, missing-data dependencies, score ties, and candidates that missed by exactly one gate. It diagnoses recipe structure, not alpha. Every result carries an outcome-maturity badge, so a trigger-met card with thin history stays explicitly shadow-only. Sending the board to Dashboard preserves the custom ranking while keeping every production score in its own unit.
Connected workflow
Use Fusion, Replay, or Cockpit from any supported card or table row. The active context carries the ticker, originating scan, frozen signal ID, direction, entry, stop, target, and rationale instead of making you rebuild the idea on every page. Bounded IndexedDB workspace snapshots avoid the browser quota failures caused by storing full evidence boards in localStorage.
Run all 14 scanner playbooks or Market Apex, then inspect the production evidence and direction gates.
The live board keeps the frozen plan intact while quote, chart, tape, and risk-gate state update around it.
Replay opens the exact frozen signal when it exists. Fresh setups remain armed until post-signal candles create evidence.
Cockpit accepts the carried plan before the ticker is saved. A broker fill remains a separate explicit action and becomes the execution receipt.
Market Apex
Every Apex run first rebuilds all 14 scanner results on the server as one canonical provenance baseline; cards stored in a phone or desktop browser never enter Apex scoring. AX0 then evaluates the complete connected Finviz stock-only universe once. Six full-universe lenses score information repricing, participation acceleration, relative-strength leadership, compression-to-expansion, supply-demand dislocation, and risk-adjusted asymmetry. They widen recall; they do not vote a stock into a trade. A 72-name Pareto frontier preserves the strongest production, structural, long, short, odds, live, and specialist candidates before 30 finalists receive deeper intelligence. A separate execution council then returns one explicit state: long, short, wait, conflict, avoid, complete, or no trade.
Structural Edge asks how strong the setup is relative to its own strategy family. It finds what deserves research; it never grants permission to trade.
Five evidence domains vote independently: catalyst repricing, trend/pattern, participation/tape, regime/relative strength, and verdict/plan. Weak coverage or material disagreement produces neutral or conflict—not a default long.
The final rank starts with how far each name clears the seven gates in order. Only candidates blocked at the same stage use action state, conservative odds, expected value, evidence coverage, live readiness, direction margin, and then structure as tie-breakers.
Discovery = whole-market receipt → six structural lenses → Pareto frontier → risk-gated finalists
Direction = catalyst + trend/pattern + tape + regime/relative strength + verdict/plan, with abstention
LONG NOW or SHORT NOW = clear risk ∩ decisive direction ∩ valid ≥1.5R plan ∩ WIL$GUY gate ∩ live trigger ∩ direction-matched odds floor above break-even ∩ positive expectancy
The 14 scanners remain precision-first playbooks for known setups. Apex is recall-first and searches every connected stock. That wider search does not guarantee a higher WIL$GUY score; it guarantees that strong evidence frontiers are not missed. Apex lens agreement never masquerades as extra scanner matches and never raises a score merely because a stock came from Apex.For a long, a high score with strong connected evidence is an affirmative gate. For a short, WIL$GUY remains a long-opportunity score: it may veto a contradiction, but a low score never counts as bearish proof. Shorts get their own affirmative read instead — a separate 0-100 SHORT EVIDENCE composite with its own coverage, fed by the Breakdown & Fade scanner family.
Odds must match the resolved side, use at least 20 graded outcomes, and show a conservative 95% floor at least three points above the plan's break-even rate. A point estimate alone cannot clear the gate.
If one required gate is missing, the app says exactly which gate blocks action. Structural 95 with unproven odds or no trigger remains a research idea, not a disguised buy signal.
Read each Apex number in its own unit:
WIL$GUY Evidence /100 = current long-opportunity evidence
Structural Discovery /100 = family-relative research quality, not an entry signal
Council Lean L/S = directional evidence split, not historical odds
Live + Trigger /100 = current tape and trigger readiness
Conservative Odds = 95% lower confidence floor, published only after n≥20 same-side outcomes
Never add these values together. The execution verdict is the ordered seven-gate decision.The odds journal counts one independent event per ticker, setup family, direction, and Eastern trading day. Re-running the same scan does not create extra evidence or make the odds look more certain; explicit user decisions are always preserved.
Daily workflow
Choose Premarket Scan, Open Market Scan, Midday Scan, Swing Scan, Run All Scanners, or Market Apex. Apex builds its own canonical all-scanner baseline; you do not need to run the full sweep first.
On Apex, start with long, short, wait, conflict, avoid, or no trade—then audit WIL$GUY, odds, live state, and the first blocking gate.
Review score blocks, why it ranked, risk, catalyst category, market context, and alert workflow.
Open quote, chart, news, Groups, Maps, and scanner preset before trusting the setup.
Inside one Apex receipt, the execution panel, cards, and table share the same finalists and selected sort. The panel previews the first 12 visible names; its side queues only reorder that same frozen set. Match the As-of time and Run ID before comparing two devices—a newer run may legitimately change as prices, volume, news, and source verification change.
WIL$GUY Score block model
The production WIL$GUY score remains the action-oriented long-opportunity evidence read. Across normal scanner missions, Decision v5 remains a separate auditable layer. Inside Market Apex, the execution council uses WIL$GUY as one hard gate while keeping Structural Edge, Live Readiness, Historical Odds, Expected Value, and Risk Gate separate—no weighted soup and no score inflation.
Gap, change, change from open, RVOL, trend alignment, 52-week high proximity, and ATR control.
Price, average volume, dollar volume, float, and market cap. Exciting but untradeable names should not dominate.
Finviz news/title/url, earnings, analyst, FDA/biotech, SEC/filing, insider, contract, partnership, and dilution signals.
Scanner count, family count, and conservative scanner confirmation. Overlap is supporting context only, not the main signal.
Currently a proxy from trend and quality fields. Finviz Groups/Maps are linked for manual sector and breadth confirmation.
No catalyst, weak volume, sub-$2 price, high ATR, low-float extension, trend breaks, and swing growth weakness subtract confidence.
WIL$GUY Score = clamp(CoverageAdjustedPositive - Risk, 0, 100)
CoverageAdjustedPositive = 95 * PositiveConnectedScore / PositiveConnectedWeight
EvidenceCoverage = ConnectedEvidenceWeight / PossibleEvidenceWeight
Memory is intentionally deferred. It appears as not connected instead of faking points before follow-through data proves useful.
What the dashboard should show
Ticker, company, scanner score, WIL$GUY Score, band, price, change, gap, RVOL, context, catalyst, action, trap score, and evidence coverage.
Score blocks, catalyst category, market context, false-positive audit, action list, alert workflow, notes, and handoff tools.
WIL$GUY Score distribution, average evidence coverage, prime watches, no-touch names, scanner confirmation notes, new names, saved names, and strong-score risk flags.
Finviz-first workflow
WIL$GUY ingests Finviz scanner rows for price, RVOL, gap, float, short interest, SMA, RSI, ATR, growth, ownership, analyst, and risk fields.
Every ticker keeps direct Finviz quote, chart, and news links so the source can be verified manually.
Cards now link Finviz Groups and Maps for market-context confirmation. Sector feeds are not faked; current numeric context is labeled as a proxy.
WIL$GUY recommends alert recipes and copy workflows. It does not claim to auto-write Finviz alerts or portfolios unless a documented write surface exists.
Scanner missions
Premarket Gap & Go plus Low Float Momentum. Best for early movers, gappers, and low-float discovery.
High Relative Volume Breakout plus Short Squeeze Watchlist. Best after the open when participation confirms.
High Relative Volume Breakout plus Large Cap Momentum. Best for liquid continuation and practical intraday review.
Swing Continuation plus Large Cap Momentum. Best for cleaner continuation names and after-hours study.
The four session missions select by scanner family, and none of them selects the short side. Breakdown & Fade (07A/07C) runs under Run All Scanners and inside the Market Apex baseline, which rebuilds every scanner in the deck.
Scanner DNA
Finviz removes names that do not meet scanner-specific price, volume, float, trend, RVOL, gap, or quality thresholds.
WIL$GUY scores surviving names with setup, liquidity, catalyst, technical structure, scanner note, context, and risk blocks.
Cards tell you what still needs proof: catalyst, VWAP, levels, resistance, volume hold, spread, and reward/risk.
False-positive control catches no-news runners, weak liquidity, dilution/offering risk, overextension, and trend failures.
